Hours of Work: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM, Term Time
Pay: £85-£100 per day

About the role:
We are seeking a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant (TA) to join this fantastic school on a part-time basis. In this role, you will work closely with class teachers and SEN staff to deliver small-group and one-on-one interventions, supporting students who need help catching up with the curriculum or those requiring extra attention due to special educational needs (SEN).
Your role will play a vital part in helping these young learners thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. You will be working with children aged 5-7, assisting with reading, writing, numeracy, and other foundational skills. This position is ideal for a patient, compassionate individual who loves working with children and is eager to make a real difference in their learning journey.
Application Requirements:
• Previous experience working with young children in a school setting, ideally in Key Stage 1.
• Experience with booster sessions, interventions, and/or supporting children with special educational needs (SEN).
• A calm, patient, and nurturing approach with the ability to build positive relationships with students.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a willingness to collaborate with teachers and staff.
• A passion for education and helping children to achieve their best.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide one-on-one and small-group support to Key Stage 1 students, focusing on boosters and interventions.
• Work collaboratively with the class teacher to implement tailored learning plans that meet the needs of individual students.
• Assist with managing classroom behavior, ensuring a positive and focused learning environment.
• Support students with special educational needs, helping them stay engaged and confident in their learning.
• Help with the preparation and organization of learning materials and resources to support classroom activities.
