Full-Time Teacher of Social Sciences
(Level 3 Criminology, A-Level Sociology, and Access to HE)
Prospero Teaching is looking for a dedicated and passionate Teacher of Social Sciences to join a reputable college in Gosport. This long-term position offers the opportunity for a temp-to-perm arrangement, providing job stability and growth within the role.
Position Details
Location: Gosport, Hampshire
Subjects: Level 3 Criminology, A-Level Sociology, and Access to HE
Contract Type: Long-term, with the potential for a permanent position (temp-to-perm)
Pay Rate: £162 to £224 per day, dependent on experience and qualifications
Start Date: Immediate or upon availability
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 4:00 pm
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and high-quality lessons in Criminology, Sociology, and Access to HE.
Develop and implement tailored lesson plans that meet curriculum standards.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their learning journey.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement.
Work collaboratively with the wider teaching team to enhance the curriculum and teaching practices.
Requirements
Hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification.
Proven experience teaching Social Sciences at Level 3 or higher.
Up-to-date Safeguarding training (issued within the last year).
Ability to inspire and motivate students from diverse backgrounds.
Right to Work in the UK and an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the online update service (or willingness to apply for one).
