This role involves overseeing HR compliance, career development, benefits administration, health & safety, recruitment, and networking to support a specialized engineering firm's global operations
*HR Generalist Responsibilities*
* Support the development and maintenance of HR policies and procedures (such as Employee Handbook updates) in line with legal requirements and best practices across multiple countries, including the U.S., Canada, Latin America, the Caribbean, and others.
* Assist in creating and managing professional development plans, performance reviews, career pathways, training, mentorship programs, and other initiatives to foster employee growth.
* Administer and analyze benefits programs, recommending updates to align with industry standards and usage trends.
* Participate in health and safety committees and support workplace accommodations as needed.
* Drive the organization’s recruitment strategy, including job postings, candidate screening, offer preparation, onboarding, referral program promotion, and trend reporting.
* Engage in industry-related networking events to help identify top talent as needed.
*HR Generalist Position Requirements*
* 10+ years of experience in Human Resources
* Experience in Talent Acquisition is a plus
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
* Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
* Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment, supporting multiple locations and time zones
* SHRM or other professional HR certification
* Established network, particularly within Engineering or Marine sectors
* Experience in an organization within the architecture, engineering, or construction industries
