As an IT Apprentice at Giraffe Connected Solutions, you'll dive headfirst into the exciting world of information technology. You'll work alongside seasoned professionals, gaining hands-on experience in a variety of areas.

In this role, youll work towards your Level 3 IT Support qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

A Typical Day in the Job:

Raising and fixing tickets promptly, ensuring timely resolution

Assisting with help desk inquiries and providing customer support, including answering calls

Testing all hardware and software to ensure functionality, following internal checklists for installs and updates

Configuring and troubleshooting laptops, desktops, tablets, phones, and hardware components such as RAM, hard drives, power supplies, and graphics cards

Working with ethernet, cables, firewalls, switches, and other networking components to ensure optimal network performance and resolve issues

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the team at Baltic Apprenticeships.


Salary, Hours & Benefits:

£14,625-£19,851 per annum

Monday Friday 8:30am 5:30pm

20 days holidays plus bank holidays

Free Parking

Opportunity to attend company events

Friendly office environment

Progression onto the Level 4 apprenticeship and to develop within the business


Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:

Grade C/4 or equivalent in Maths and English Language or English Literature is required for this role

Mature and responsible personality

You must hold a driving license with access to your own car due to onsite work

Strong interest in IT and Engineering

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Passionate individual

Your Training with Baltic:

This apprenticeship provides the skills, qualification and experience you need to immerse yourself within an exciting, fast-moving industry and become an effective IT Support Technician.

Beyond the fundamental apprenticeship modules, you'll delve into two Be-Spoke modules and one advanced Expert module. This personalised approach will hone your abilities and deepen your expertise, positioning you as a true leader in your field. The Be-Spoke and Expert modules you will complete are:

  • MS-900 Microsoft 365 Fundamentals - Demonstrate foundational-level knowledge of cloud-based solutions to facilitate productivity, compliance and collaboration among on-site, remote, and hybrid workers
  • Problem Solving & Innovation - This course covers problem-solving techniques, defining issues, implementing solutions, and creating an innovative culture
  • Customer Service Fundamentals - This course covers customer service essentials: understanding customers, product knowledge, conflict resolution, interpersonal skills, and self-improvement.
