About the role: Are you passionate about making a positive impact in students' lives? Our college in Enfield is seeking a dedicated Student Support Assistant to join our Lifelong Learning Disability Department, supporting students with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs). In this role, you will be integral to helping students with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) and Severe Learning Disabilities (SLD) achieve their personal, social, and educational goals.

• Experience working with young people or adults with PMLD, SLD, or similar support needs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to connect with students, staff, and families.
• Empathetic, patient, and dedicated to supporting students in reaching their fullest potential.
• A team player, willing to contribute to a collaborative and inclusive educational environment.
• Adaptable and proactive in responding to the varied and evolving needs of students with learning disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide personalised support to students, helping them navigate their educational journeys and achieve milestones set out in their EHCPs.
• Work closely with teaching staff to create an inclusive and positive learning environment tailored to students’ needs.
• Assist students with personal care and mobility as required.
• Support the delivery of adapted curriculum activities to enhance learning and engagement.
• Monitor and track student progress, reporting to staff and collaborating on improvement plans.
