An exciting opportunity has arisen for an outstanding Teacher of Girls PE and Health and Social Care to join Whitcliffe Mount School. Do you have what it takes to deliver outstanding teaching and learning experiences for students of all abilities?

The successful candidate should be an inspirational teacher, a committed and flexible team player and someone with the drive to raise aspirations through an exciting and ambitious curriculum.

The vocational faculty at WMA is an established team, and the successful candidate would be joining a supportive, inclusive and inspiring team with a history of successful Key Stage 3 and 4 courses led by subject specialists.

As a faculty, PE celebrates a broad and balanced core and specialist curriculum, including Invasion Games, Orienteering, Dance, Gymnastics, Striking and Fielding and Athletics. The successful candidate will join a cohesive team that is focused on improving standards and raising aspirations for all. Health and Social Care as a subject is incredibly popular, and we aim for outcomes to be consistently high for all students so that they not only achieve their personal best at WMA but so they are well prepared and inspired to take their next steps in their educational journey.

This is an exciting post that would offer the right candidate the opportunity to lead Health and Social Care and be part of two faculties: Physical Education and Performance.

Both experienced and ECTs are welcome to apply to this post support and training will be second to none for the best candidate.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be educated to degree level with QTS in their subject
  • Be an effective classroom practitioner who will inspire and motivate our students
  • Be able to coach and enthuse students effectively, encouraging, motivating and inspiring children through the support they give in order to encourage their learning
  • Be willing to support the Department in offering a broad and diverse extra-curricular programme
  • Love encouraging, motivating and inspiring children through the support they give in order to encourage their learning
  • Be committed to our ethos that all pupils can achieve at Whitcliffe Mount School
  • Have great references demonstrating they are a suitable candidate, safe to work with children.
