Job Description
About the role: As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be providing one-on-one support to a young boy in Reception with Autism. This child is non-verbal, with Polish as his first language spoken at home. He can display physical behaviours, such as banging his head on the table when overwhelmed, but is also affectionate and responds well to nurturing care. His mother suggests that hugs help calm him down during difficult moments. You will play a crucial role in helping him regulate, navigate transitions, and settle into daily routines. Your calm, patient, and compassionate nature will make a real difference in his school experience. This role will involve working closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and the child's family to create a safe and supportive learning environment tailored to his needs. If you are someone who can offer consistency, understanding, and a calm presence, we would love to hear from you!
