Hours of Work: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM, Term Time
Pay: £85-£100 per day

About the role:
We are looking for a compassionate, skilled, and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant with a specialism in managing challenging behaviours. This full-time, long-term role requires someone with experience in working with children who may have social, emotional, and mental health needs. As an SEN TA, you will work closely with Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 students, providing dedicated 1:1 support as well as assisting in group activities to enhance their learning and development. This role is ideal for someone with strong interpersonal skills, a calm and patient approach, and a passion for helping students overcome obstacles and reach their full potential.
Application Requirements:
• Previous experience working with SEN students, particularly those with challenging behaviours.
• Relevant qualifications or training in Special Educational Needs or related fields.
• A compassionate, understanding, and proactive approach to behaviour management.
• Ability to adapt and respond effectively to students’ needs, with a calm and supportive manner.
• Excellent communication skills to work effectively with students, staff, and parents.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students with challenging behaviours in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
• Implement individualised behaviour management strategies to support students’ development.
• Collaborate with teachers, SEN coordinators, and other support staff to tailor support plans and achieve positive outcomes.
• Foster a positive, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment to support emotional and academic growth.
• Record and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents to ensure continuity of support.
