SEN-TA – Autism Spectrum Disorder Specialist
Hours of Work: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM, Term Time
Pay: £160-£210 per day

About the role:
We are seeking a passionate and empathetic SEN Teaching Assistant specialising in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to join our team on a long-term basis. This role involves working across both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, providing one-on-one and group support to students with ASD. You will play a crucial role in helping students overcome barriers to learning, develop social skills, and build confidence within a structured and nurturing environment. This role requires a proactive, patient, and understanding individual who is enthusiastic about making a positive impact on students’ lives. An immediate start is available for the right candidate.
Application Requirements:
• Experience working with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ideally in an educational setting.
• Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or SEN-specific training.
• A calm, patient, and resilient attitude, with strong communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a supportive team.
• An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide targeted support to students with ASD, helping them engage with the curriculum.
• Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers and the SENCO.
• Use a range of strategies to manage challenging behaviours in a positive and effective way.
• Create a safe and stimulating environment for learning and personal growth.
• Communicate regularly with parents and staff to provide updates on student progress and needs.
