Head of HE Academic Standards and Admissions

£45,921 - £48,426 (M6-M8) Per Annum

Status: Permanent, 37 hours

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of HE Academic Standards and Admissions to play a pivotal role in shaping and supporting the growth of our higher education provision. This role is ideal for a forward-thinking professional with a strong background in academic quality, regulatory compliance, and student recruitment within the HE sector.

As the Head of HE Academic Standards and Admissions, you will lead on maintaining academic quality standards, ensuring our programmes meet regulatory and accrediting body requirements. You will also drive our student recruitment strategy, working to attract diverse and ambitious students to our HE programmes, with a particular focus on increasing enrolment across our unique, land-based curriculum.

Key responsibilities:

Academic Standards

Ensure all HE programmes comply with academic standards and meet quality assurance guidelines from accrediting bodies.
Lead curriculum development and review processes, working closely with academic teams to maintain and enhance program quality.
Oversee data and reporting for HE regulatory bodies, including monitoring programme outcomes and student satisfaction.
Lead a team responsible for academic registry functions and support, driving high performance and continuous improvement.
Act as a point of contact for HE regulatory bodies, representing the college in audits, inspections, and other quality assurance activities.

Admissions and Recruitment

Manage the HE admissions process, ensuring it is accessible, efficient, and aligned with the college’s recruitment objectives.
Oversee effective recruitment practices to increase HE student enrolment.
Work collaboratively with marketing and outreach teams to design campaigns and initiatives.
Establish and maintain partnerships with schools, industry stakeholders, and community organisations to build the college’s profile in HE recruitment.

The successful candidate will:

A proven track record in academic standards, quality assurance, and/or registry management in higher education.
Ideally a background as an HE teaching and learning practitioner.
Experience in student recruitment, ideally within the HE sector, with a focus on developing and executing successful recruitment strategies.
A thorough understanding of HE regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for engaging with prospective students, partners, and stakeholders.

Reaseheath offers a full CDP programme with access to funded qualifications alongside hands on support whilst completing Further Education Training. Industry professionals joining the College in an academic role, will complete their Further Education Training whilst in post.
