About the role:
As a Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant, you’ll be working in a part-time capacity, with a special focus on boosters and interventions for our youngest learners. This role is ideal for someone who has experience supporting primary-aged children and is particularly passionate about Special Educational Needs (SEN). You’ll play a key role in providing targeted support to small groups and individual students, helping to strengthen their academic skills and boost their confidence. Your role will be varied, with each day bringing new and rewarding challenges that make a real difference in the lives of our students.
Application Requirements:
• Experience working with young children, ideally in a primary school setting.
• Knowledge or background in SEN, interventions, or similar programmes.
• An empathetic and patient nature, with strong communication skills.
• A proactive approach to identifying areas where children need extra help.
• A commitment to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Work closely with the classroom teacher to develop and deliver booster sessions.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, focusing on literacy and numeracy skills.
• Help adapt learning materials to meet the needs of individual learners.
• Maintain a positive and encouraging atmosphere for each child’s growth.
• Support students with any additional needs to foster their independence and engagement.
