Tara are supporting a school in Telford and Wrekin to recruit a Teacher of History in the New Year for a Maternity Cover!

The school is a mixed academy secondary school with over 1000 students on roll with a sixth form attached! Ensuring that pupils enjoy learning inside and outside the classroom, the school have extension sporting, creative and academic extracurricular activities!

Timetable: Full Time
Start: January 2024
Duration: July Initially (Maternity Cover)
Key stage: 3 & 4.
Requirements for the role of Teacher of History:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Previous History teaching experience
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Excellent subject knowledge and a passion to share this knowledge with students
Key Responsibilities for the Teacher of History Role:
* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging history lessons tailored to the diverse needs and abilities of students
* Foster a stimulating learning environment that encourages student participation, critical thinking, and academic achievement.
* Manage student behaviour in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures.
* Provide a supportive and positive learning environment for all students.
