Position: Engineering Compliance Technician
Are you a “Time Served” Technician wanting to expand your knowledge and skill base. KB Engineering is looking for a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Compliance Technician. In this role, you will be a key player in ensuring site compliance, with opportunities for further career development in Instrumentation via a comprehensive training plan.
Key Responsibilities:
Preferable experience in instrumentation calibration and testing, the successful candidate will contribute to maintaining site compliance in the following areas:
1. Process Safety Testing on Safety Instrumented Systems (IEC 61508, IEC 61511):
* Calibration and testing of Critical A and B Instrumentation (Flow, Pressure, Temperature, Level)
* Pressure Relief Valve (PRV) testing as per ASI 527
* Pressure/Vacuum Relief Valve (PVRV) inspection as per ASI 527
* Pressure Regulator (PR) inspection as per ASI 527
2. ISO 13849 Compliance Safety of Machinery:
* Perform testing on machinery safety devices (e.g., doors, guards, hatches, E-Stops, limit switches, earthing systems, light barriers)
Role Details:
* Full-time, dayshift role (37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday)
* 27 paid holidays plus bank holidays
* Pension scheme
* Salary will be discussed during the interview and is dependent on experience
Qualifications:
* HNC in an Engineering discipline
* Completion of an Engineering apprenticeship
* Positive “Can do” attitude to learn and develop
* The ability to follow Electrical Drawings and P&ID’s in a fault finding situation
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* A positive attitude toward promoting Health and Safety culture
