Manufacturing Technician - Digital MedTech Start-Up, Cambridge, UK
We're seeking a Manufacturing Technician to join an innovative MedTech start-up in Cambridge. As we rapidly expand our manufacturing capabilities, this role offers the chance to make a tangible impact in producing in-vitro diagnostic (IVD) products for Point of Care (PoC) testing, transforming healthcare delivery for end users and the NHS.
About the Role:
As a Manufacturing Technician, you will support our team by creating and following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to manufacture, assemble, and QC test our products. You'll work closely with our QA team to ensure compliance with ISO 13485 standards. Key Responsibilities:
Prepare reagents and maintain laboratory equipment.
Conduct QC checks on components based on SOPs.
Maintain a clean, organized lab environment.
Accurately complete batch records and related forms.
Assemble lateral flow devices and subcomponents.
Pack kits for distribution.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education: 5 GCSEs at grades 9 to 4 (A* to C) or equivalent, including English, Maths, and Science.
Lab Experience: Previous wet lab experience, ideally in an ISO 13485 environment; experience in IVD production is a plus.
Skills & Traits: Punctual, detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Technical Skills: Proficient in following SOPs, familiar with Health & Safety procedures, and comfortable using computers.
