Job Description
About the role: Are you a compassionate, energetic, and resourceful SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a meaningful role where every day brings a new challenge and reward? We’re excited to welcome an SEN TA to join our vibrant school community in Hackney, London, and work alongside our committed team. Starting in January 2025, you’ll be joining as a full-time, long-term SEN TA, providing essential support to students with a range of behavioural needs. This role is as fulfilling as it is demanding, offering you the chance to make a tangible impact on children’s lives by helping them overcome barriers to learning and develop skills for a bright future.

Application Requirements:
• Experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly those with challenging behaviours.
• A genuine passion for supporting children and helping them reach their potential.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with students and colleagues.
• Ability to remain calm, patient, and solution-oriented in challenging situations.
• Relevant qualifications or a background in SEN support is a plus but not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Offer tailored support to students with challenging behaviours, creating individualised strategies to facilitate their learning and social development.
• Work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to develop intervention plans and behaviour management strategies.
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere that builds self-confidence and motivates students.
• Engage students in structured activities, helping them to express themselves and thrive in a supportive setting.
• Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure cohesive support.
