Job Title: Support Worker (Female Only Service)
Location: Rochdale
Job Type: Permanent
Salary: £14.57/ph
Hours: 36 hours per week
About Us: We are a leading healthcare provider committed to delivering high-quality support services to individuals in the North-West. We are currently seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join the team with one of our specialist clients in the North-West!
Basic Requirements:
Health and Social Care qualification or equivalent to Diploma/ Degree/NVQ 5 or equivalent work level experience and the willingness to achieve a level 5 relevant qualification.
Ability to work across identified contract areas and travel for training and meeting purposes.
Access to a car for work purposes.
Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, and weekends when required and be part of a 24/7 on-call service rota.
This is a female-only service, meaning all support staff will need to be female only due to service requirements.
Key tasks and accountabilities:
- To work in partnership and collaboration with our scheme partners.
- To support individuals experiencing multiple disadvantages across the borough of Rochdale.
- To provide asset-based interventions to relieve disadvantage.
- To appropriately challenge the system when it isn’t working for people.
- To build strong, supportive relationships with the cohort of beneficiaries.
- To have a thorough knowledge and understanding and keep up to date with legislation, legal orders, housing law updates and child protection procedures regarding Domestic Abuse.
- To be responsible and accountable for the efficient recording, storing, and maintaining of client records including contact notes, correspondence, SMART plans, risk management plans and outcomes achieved.
- To actively engage the people who use our services and promote involvement in the service.
- To capture and report interventions provided on the data system.

To ensure that the values and principles underlying WHAG’s services are maintained and developed.
To participate in regular supervision and annual appraisal and help in identifying your own job-related development and training needs.
To work at times other than office hours to attend meetings, participate in networks, fundraising events and ensure that the service is accessible.
To undertake any other duties that may be required which are appropriate to your role.

Requirements:
Must be a driver and willing to travel (business mileage available)
Experience of supporting people with multiple disadvantages to overcome barriers.
Experience of working with partners and in collaboration in order to maximise the potential for a positive outcome.
Ability to manage and prioritise a demanding workload.
Strong communication skills, including an ability to professionally challenge where appropriate.
Ability to effectively risk assess and deliver safe and effective support to people with multiple disadvantages.
Knowledge and ability to assess and respond to safeguarding concerns.
Knowledge of and commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Strong IT skills include Microsoft Office Packages.
