Construction Mid-Market Underwriter

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and career driven Construction New Business trading underwriter to join our tenacious one of our London based commercial underwriting teams.
This is a great job for someone that is a multi-class underwriter predominantly with good Construction and Property & Liability experience who can operate within agreed guidelines and authority levels to profitably grow a book of commercial Mid-Market business.
A bit about the job:
Within the role you will work collaboratively internally and externally within one of our London underwriting teams to support both the Senior Underwriter and Team Manager in delivering financial growth plans. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with our brokers and customers to gain a deeper understanding of their needs. By demonstrating data insights, you will need to ensure that we deliver comprehensive solutions tailored to the unique requirements of each customer. In turn, you will need great organisation and time management skills including the ability to manage own diary successfully in a fast-paced environment.

Skills and experience we're looking for:
- Previous Property, Liability or Construction underwriting experience
- Strong ability to analyse risks and communicate and present effectively to brokers and/or customers
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a large complex organisation. Confident trading abilities with a broad panel of brokers
- Good knowledge of the FCA and other relevant regulation and legislation
- Strong commercial business acumen to create and deliver business cases

- Competitive salary between (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
