A proactive first-line manager with significant supervisory experience, you are familiar with databases, Microsoft applications, and handling large spreadsheets. Experience with SAP or similar systems, responding to financial and information requests, and knowledge of CareFirst or comparable management systems are key. You demonstrate strong organizational, time management, and communication skills with a proven ability to produce analytical reports. What the Job Involves

As a Senior Business Support Officer (Finance), you ensure effective service delivery for Children's Services by providing financial information and reports. You will handle budget management, develop management systems, and ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Your role involves trend analysis, assisting in procurement processes, and supporting managers with planning through data and information. You will lead the Finance Team, manage workload allocation, and support team development. Addressing data requests like FOI, overseeing health and safety practices, and participating in projects are part of your responsibilities. You will liaise with the Service Accountancy Team, represent the Council in external meetings, and ensure service delivery aligns with equal opportunity principles. You are expected to handle diverse duties, possibly including out-of-hours work, and maintain high levels of service within a framework of equality and safety, supported by safeguarding and equal opportunities training as required.
