About the role: Learning Support Assistant: As a Learning Support Assistant (LSA), you will be an essential part of the classroom, working with children in Key Stage 1 who need additional support in their learning journey. Working closely with the class teacher, you’ll help tailor lesson plans and adapt teaching materials to suit the individual needs of each child. You’ll play an active role in helping students build confidence, develop their social skills, and overcome any barriers to learning. Additionally, you will assist in creating and maintaining individual education plans (IEPs), ensuring that progress is tracked and that the necessary support is in place. Your role will also involve fostering a positive, inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued and supported. Whether it’s providing calming techniques to help a child focus or offering encouragement during challenging tasks, you will be a key figure in helping these students thrive both academically and personally.

Application Requirements:

• Experience working with young children, particularly in a school setting.
• Familiarity with SEN, including experience supporting children with learning difficulties and behavioral needs.

• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Key Responsibilities: Learning Support Assistant:

• Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs, including those with Autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties.
• Assist in the implementation of learning activities to help students access the curriculum effectively.
• Deliver focused intervention programs to boost literacy and numeracy skills.
• Work with the class teacher to develop individual education plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, helping students build their self-esteem and independence.
