Your role will include working 1:1 with pupils who have Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs), delivering small group and individual interventions, and helping students overcome challenges in their learning. You'll contribute to creating an environment where every child can thrive and achieve their full potential.

About the school: Join our wonderful, community-driven Sikh school in Redbridge. Our school is a beautiful, well-resourced, well-funded institution that prides itself on celebrating the rich diversity of cultures, backgrounds, and talents among our students, staff, and parents. With a strong community feel, our school offers a nurturing environment where behaviour is exemplary across the board, although some pupils have high SEN needs. We are on an exciting journey of rapid improvement, and we’re looking for enthusiastic LSAs to help support our vision for success.

You’ll work alongside talented teachers, committed governors, and incredibly supportive parents who all share the common goal of providing the best education possible for our pupils. If appointed, you will be joining a professional and developing SEN team that values innovation, collaboration, and student-centred support.

Application Requirements:

• Experience working with children in a school setting – Prior experience as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant, particularly within a primary school environment, is essential.
• Experience with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is desirable – Applicants should have experience supporting children with SEN, especially those with EHCPs, including knowledge of autism, ADHD, or learning difficulties.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills – The ability to effectively communicate with students, staff, and parents to build strong relationships and promote a positive learning environment.
• Patience and adaptability – A compassionate, patient attitude and the ability to adapt to the changing needs of students with diverse learning challenges.
• A collaborative mindset and willingness to contribute to the school community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 support to pupils with EHCPs.
• Deliver small group and individual interventions tailored to specific needs.
• Assist class teachers in managing the learning environment.
• Support the development of pupils' social, emotional, and academic skills.
• Work closely with the SEN team to ensure personalised strategies for student progress.

Perks and Benefits:

• Competitive daily rate of £85-£95.
• A warm, inclusive school with a strong sense of community.
• A well-resourced environment with excellent funding.
• The opportunity to work alongside a professional SEN team.
• Supportive leadership and a commitment to your professional development.
