Key Responsibilities
As an Instrument Technician, you will:
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance tasks.
Tackle troubleshooting, lead projects, and handle equipment refurbishments.
Maximise the availability and reliability of production processes in line with safety and environmental standards.About You
To succeed in this role, you should have:
A recognised apprenticeship and HNC qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Control and Instrumentation.
Experience in a manufacturing or continuous industrial process environment.
Proficiency in industrial instrumentation, fault-finding, calibration, and control systems like PLCs/DCS.
The ability to interpret engineering drawings to accurately diagnose issues.
Familiarity with maintenance management systems.You'll be a proactive, analytical problem-solver with strong communication skills and a commitment to safety. This role requires someone who can work both independently and as part of a team, with the motivation to mentor apprentices and continually expand technical expertise.
Working Hours and Flexibility
The core hours for this position are Monday to Friday, 07:00 - 15:00, with some flexibility based on operational needs.
