Hours of Work: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM, Term Time

Pay: £85-£100 per day

Location: Finchley

Job Type: Full Time, Long Term

About the role:

Are you a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant looking for an opportunity to make a meaningful impact? Join our supportive and vibrant school community in Finchley as an SEN TA with a Specialism in Challenging Behaviours. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, your role will be essential in guiding students who require additional support to thrive within the classroom.

You’ll work closely with teachers and the SENCO team to develop and implement strategies tailored to each student’s needs, with the aim of building their confidence and independence. This role is ideal for someone with a calm, patient demeanor, a good sense of humor, and a genuine passion for supporting young learners. Your empathy and adaptability will help you to connect with students, enabling them to overcome obstacles and engage fully in their learning experience.

Application Requirements:

• Experience supporting children with challenging behaviours in an educational setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of SEN best practices and behaviour management strategies.
• A positive and resilient attitude.
• Relevant qualifications and/or experience in a similar role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and group support to students with challenging behaviours.
• Assist in creating and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
• Employ positive behaviour management techniques to foster a constructive learning environment.
• Encourage students to develop socially and emotionally, supporting their mental well-being.
• Collaborate with teachers and the SENCO to evaluate and adjust student support plans.
