Behaviour Mentor

We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Behaviour Mentor to join our SEND School in Tower Hamlets. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting students with challenging behaviours and helping them to overcome barriers to their learning. You will work closely with students, teachers, and other professionals to create a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters academic and personal growth.

The role

Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one support to students with challenging behaviours
• Collaborate with teachers to develop individualised behaviour plans
• Monitor and record student behaviour and progress
• Facilitate group sessions to teach essential life skills
• Collaborate with external agencies for additional support
• Stay updated on best practices in behaviour management

Qualifications:

• Experience in working with students with SEMH Needs
• Knowledge of behaviour management strategies
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Understanding of special educational needs
• Ability to work effectively in a team
