Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Location: Thurrock
Job Type: Long-term cover
Salary: £100 per day
Start Date: December 2024

We are now looking to appoint a motivated and caring HLTA to join our dedicated team.
Job Description:
As a HLTA, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality support to both individuals and groups of children, ensuring they make strong progress. You will work closely with the teaching team to plan and deliver interventions, particularly for pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds, including those eligible for pupil premium funding. The role will also involve supporting the classroom teacher in a range of teaching and learning activities, monitoring student progress, and contributing to the wider school initiatives aimed at raising achievement and closing the attainment gap.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver targeted interventions to children, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds, to support their academic and social development.
Support the classroom teacher in planning and delivering lessons, providing additional support where needed.
Work with small groups or individual children to enhance their learning and progress.
Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing feedback and working alongside teachers to implement effective strategies for improvement.
Contribute to the implementation of school-wide initiatives aimed at improving outcomes for disadvantaged pupils.
