Maintenance Engineer (FMCG)

Great opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer with established FMCG food producer in Craigavon area

The company are a leading producer of a range of fresh food products, supplying retailers across UK & Ireland. You'll be joining a solid engineering team with a strong multi-skilled focus as well as exposure to improvement projects and a wide range of machinery & equipment.

Core working hours are Monday to Friday 8am - 4.30pm with flexibility needed to work a weekend rota, paid at 1.5 rate.

The engineering team also work some periods of night shift in the year which comes with premium shift rate

With shift allowance and overtime rates, there is real potential to earn over £50k

Suitable candidates will need maintenance experience in a production setting with good knowledge across mechanical and electrical systems

The Role

• Preventative and reactive maintenance across production machinery


• Complete PPM effectively and record accurately


• Work across mechanical and electrical systems


• Welding and pipework, installs and modifications


• Fault find and problem solve on equipment issues


• Work safely and compliant with food safety and H&S


• Contribute to overall engineering performance and efficiency

What we are looking for

• Engineering apprenticeship Level 3 or above


• Maintenance experience in a similar FMCG/ Production setting


• Multi-skilled knowledge on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic


• Knowledge of automated equipment & PLC systems


• Positive attitude to achieve work as a team or alone


• Any electrical up-skilling is desirable e.g 18th edition
