Operational Development Support Chef - London

Operational Development Support Chef 45,000 - 50,000 per annum + amazing benefits London Vacherin are committed to delivering deliciously different experiences, having fun, and conducting business with a social and environmental conscience. We are excited to be recruiting for an Operational Development Support Chef to wok in Vacherin. This is a Monday - Friday position.

You will work with the Food Development Team to ensure day to day operational effectiveness. Understanding individual Ops Directors patch sites, clients and customers preferences and ensuring the food offer is bespoke to them, specifically whilst always maintaining the Vacherin food ethos & core standards. Regularly site visits and monthly meetings with the operators, get to know site specific offers and build relationships with onsite teams, ensuring quality is paramount every day.

Key Responsibilities:

Food Development
Work on projects and hit deadlines set by the Exec Development Chef & Ops Director.
Working with the Exec Development Chef & food development team to implement food concepts into Vacherin with supporting menu development both in café and hospitality areas.
Implementing a core offer that is costed with SOP’s covering all seasons & festivities.
Implementing Vacherin’s healthy eating concept & educating their teams on healthy eating and wellbeing standards.
Craft
To support with training & development within Vacherin kitchens.
To ensure that all Head / Exec Chefs are inducted into the business correctly and fully.
Support teams in bringing pop ups and concepts to life, creating working examples for other sites to see and replicate and those teams can then offer support to other sites rolling out similar concepts.
Attend client meetings where appropriate to present food development ideas alongside the onsite team
Support large high-profile events where possible and necessary, supporting on menu creation, planning of workflow & tastings.
Identify with the Exec Development Chef & Ops Director a clear succession plan for each site.
To cover Head / Exec chef’s annual leave, sickness, and other absences when appropriate.

Recruitment
Assist with retail Head / Exec Chef recruitment when needed offering support on succession planning & performance management.
Actively sharing a strong candidate pool of future chef’s positions using CV’s and internal knowledge.

Marketing
Help implement group level marketing and food campaigns into the business.
Assist creating image content for dishes for social media & marketing campaigns.

Procurement
Bring to the forefront any new products you discover being used at sites by our teams through our supply chain.

Mobilisations
Where required, working with the Head of Food and food team to mobilise any new contracts or existing contracts.
