Woodfield School, part of Henry David Learning Trust, is an innovative and exciting independent special school, supporting children and young people with Autism and associated speech & language, social communication and behavioural difficulties, aged 7 to 19.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for motivated individuals to join our community to take on the position of Teacher of SEND (science or STEM specialism preferred) on a full time, permanent basis. The successful candidate be passionate their subject and will have experience teaching in Key Stage 3 and 4 and of working with pupils with SEN and/or an awareness of how to adapt learning to meet the needs of the child.
Key responsibilities of the position will be to design and deliver the teaching and learning of science within the school in accordance with the aims of the School and in pursuit of high standards of pupil achievement. You will also assist in the managing and developing of a given class and/or a group of pupils, contribute to an appropriate environment for pupil learning and ensure high levels of engagement with staff, pupils, parents and the wider learning communities.

To achieve these aims we need dedicated members of staff to join us in addressing the needs of children who need help to overcome barriers to learning both inside and outside the school in order to achieve their full potential.
