Full Time

23,920 per annum plus monthly service charge, typically 2,400 annually

Purpose of the role

As a Gardener you’ll be joining our Estates team, ensuring that the hotel grounds are always
maintained to the highest standard whilst working effectively with other team members.

You’ll be working Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm, plus the team are on a weekend rota which consists of
1 in 6 weekends, 8:00am – 12:30pm.

Carry out all necessary tasks as instructed by the Estates Manager or the deputy
Ensure the highest levels of presentation of the Hotel are always kept
Uphold the team SOP’s given to you
Ensure daily health and safety checks are carried out in accordance with Grantley Hall’s health and safety policy
Participate willingly in organised training sessions within the hotel and own department
General gardening duties, weeding, mulching and pruning plants and scrubs on the estate
Cutting and maintaining lawns and grass to a variety of finishes, using a variety of machines
Leaf-clearing and litter picking including emptying bins

About You

Solid experience of working in large gardens
Able to meet deadlines and work under pressure
Knowledge of plants, lawncare, glasshouse work, machinery
Horticultural experience, to at least NVQ Level 2 or above
Confident, self-motivated and present a professional persona in all circumstances
Excellent verbal communication
A flexible approach to work is required
