Communications and Events Co-ordinator - St Neots (PE19 6BN)


  • Salary £32,000 to 35,000 DOE

The Communications team is a strategic function at MASS, managing all internal and external communications. With ambitious plans for the future, the team is growing and looking for a communications and events co-ordinator to help them achieve even more.


This role sits at the centre of the team and will work across both internal and external comms, helping to develop content, manage admin tasks and support the busy and varied workload.


You'll be based inSt Neots, but we operate on a hybrid basis so we're typically in the office 3 days a week.


How youll support us


As a core member of the team, you'll provide support for both the internal and external comms functions at MASS. This includes:

  • Preparing and publishing engaging content for both internal and external audiences and analysing its success.
  • Providing admin support across the team, from managing our asset library to taking care of our branded stock.
  • Co-ordinating event logistics and administration for both events we attend and events we organise.


The invaluable experience youll bring, to help us achieve more


Were expecting that youve done similar type of role before, although you may not have done everything on our job description. However the essentials are:


  • A degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or similar
  • At least 1-2 years experience working in a Communications or Marketing team.
  • Excellent organisational skills and high attention to detail.
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Experience of preparing content for different communication channels including social media and newsletters.
  • Some experience of event management/administration
  • Ability to analyse simple datasets and provide reports
  • Proactive approach and great communication skills with stakeholders
  • Excellent Microsoft skills including SharePoint.
  • Experience of using channel metrics such as Google Analytics


It would be great if you also have


  • Experience of managing attendance at large trade shows
  • Experience of working in the Defence industry
  • Member of a professional body, e.g IOIC or CIM
