About this role

With an ever increasing number of amazing features and tools released by our teams at Yubo, we are looking to increase our capacity to test and deliver quality products, faster than ever before. As such, we are looking to expand our QA team with a new position !

As part of the QA team, reporting directly to our QA Manager, you will be joining a team of 2, working on all aspects of the products, on both platforms, to ensure the robustness, reliability and overall quality of our mobile applications (iOS and Android) as well as backend features before release, but also monitor application performance and stability post-release to ensure a seamless user experience !

Our approach to privacyAs part of your job, you will be working on tools that process personal data relating to Yubo users.As a social media platform, we require our employees to have a strong awareness and understanding of privacy issues, and in particular of children's online safety, privacy and well-being.Every employee at Yubo is expected to participate in compliance with data protection regulations as well as the continuous improvement of our Privacy & Safety By Design measures.Your responsibilitiesAs a Senior QA Engineer, you will be responsible for the entire testing lifecycle of our products, from the validation of feature requirements in collaboration with the product team, to performing end-to-end testing on iOS and Android devices, and ensuring the application remains stable post-release.As such, you will also be heavily involved in adapting testing strategies depending on the project constraints and technical demands and prioritize testing efforts accordingly.You will be an integral part of the knowledge sharing efforts within the team, not only through documentation, but also sharing insights on tools, processes and testing methodologies, as well as providing constructive feedback to other team members.You will act as the main liaison between the QA team and other departments (e.g product, development, operations) to ensure smooth communication and alignment.Tools we useDebugging proxy: CharlesAPI testing: PostmanAnalytics: AmplitudeWho you areYou have a proven experience in QA for mobile-first applications (iOS and Android), ideally in an environment with a large number of active users.Backend testing, APIs and system architecture are areas you are knowledgeable in.You have an expertise in using tools such as Charles, Proxyman, Crashlytics, or Datadog for instance.You possess a hacking mindset and like to delve deep into all products you try, testing all possible scenarios, and finding new inventive ways to test out new features.You have the ability to manage complex testing workflows and adapt strategies to meet increasing project demands.You are fluent in French, and are comfortable working in English.Our recruitment processPhone screen with our Talent Acquisition team memberFirst interview with our QA ManagerTechnical test and debriefCulture fit interviewsWhat we offerA highly competitive salary range as well as equity in the companyA highly flexible remote work policy, generally between 2-4 days at the office per month, with monthly team events.We also cover fees for external professional events and meetups (API days, etc…)Great health insurance coverage for both you and your family by Alan, fully paid for by Yubo !Numerous benefits for parents: additional parental leave, easy access to nurseries and daycare facilities in France.
