Your role: As Head of Healthcare Communications for Italy, you are working in an international and cross-functional environment in the field of external (media) relations, internal communication and social media. You will have the opportunity to shape and drive the Company’s reputation footprint in Italy as well as execute global communication strategy to drive and enable the business. In this position, your primary responsibility will be within the Healthcare business of the Company and corporate communication activities, also encompassing our Life Science business and Electronics business. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, leading & managing Corporate and Healthcare communications in Italy, preserving and building the reputation of the Company by handling proactive communication with targeted audiences and ensuring the value of communications aligned with the needs of the business. This includes: Be a strategic business partner and trusted advisor for external and internal communication to the Managing Director (MD) of the Company and the General Manager (GM) of the HC business in Italy. As a member of the country council and healthcare leadership team, provide strategic counsel on reputation-related matters and lead implementation of communication activities. Extend awareness and reputation for key brands and new product launches by developing and implementing a 'non-commercial' communications strategy, nurturing strong relationships with key stakeholders including healthcare media, general public and internal stakeholders. Drive and sustain cultural change by partnering closely with leadership teams and employees. Be an effective communications leader with respect to issues and/or crisis, a collaborator beyond boundaries, and a connector to orchestrate integrated communication programs. Ensure the value of communications is measured, valued and aligned with the needs of the business. Serve as the country liaison with Regional and Global Communications (including but not limited to Europe Communications, Media Relations, News & Reputation, Franchise Communications). Deliver against measurable communications value proposition. Responsible for small team, their roles, responsibilities, budget, PR agencies coordination/selection. Who you are: 8-10 years communications experience in Communications in corporate/agency environment. Substantial experience in healthcare communications, pharmaceutical product PR, disease awareness campaigns, including internal & external communications, channel management & digital channel management. Substantial media relations experience both in general media and healthcare industry media, experience in Rx product launches will be viewed favorably. Proven management and leadership skills. Demonstrated strategic thinking and decision-making skills with the ability to organize and manage multiple projects in support of business/ corporate objectives. Ability to operate in a global and regional environment, translating global communications campaigns into local impactful initiatives. Rich issues/ crisis communication experience in prevention and protection. Excellent writing, editing, copywriting and proofreading skills (both Italian and English). Able to manage and lead people with indirect authority. Demonstrated ability to interact with, counsel and influence senior executives effectively. Proven ability to develop and execute results-driven communications strategies that are aligned with business goals and objectives. Demonstrated ability to set and manage priorities, resources, goals, and project initiatives. Experience coordinating with communications professionals, vendors and agencies. Strong tactical and analytical/strategic skills, hands-on, high energy. Robust business acumen and insight; impact vs. importance focus.
