Job Description
Applications are now being accepted for the OEHE Summer 2025 Pathways Intern Program. Provides a variety of duties related to the Sanitation Facilities Construction Program for value engineering, environmental review compliance and the construction of water, wastewater and solid waste facilities. Positions report to the District Engineers. The primary purpose of this position is to provide a student trainee with on-the-job training and guidance to further student technical development.

Job Requirements
To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. For positions requiring positive education requirements, or if you are using education to meet all or part of the qualification requirements, you MUST submit a copy of your transcripts or an itemized list of college courses which includes equivalent information from the transcript (course title, semester/quarter hours, and grade/degree earned) in your resume. BASIC REQUIREMENTS In order to be eligible for an appointment under the Pathways Internship Program, Interns must: Be accepted for enrollment or enrolled and seeking a degree or certificate in a qualifying educational institution on a half- to full-time basis (as determined by the educational institution); Meet the definition of a student throughout the duration of their appointments; Meet agency-specific requirements as specified in the agency's Participant Agreement with the Intern; and Meet the qualification standards (e.g., series and grade) for their Internship positions. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: For this position, you MUST meet ONE of the following criteria: GS-3: Completion of one (1) full academic year of post-high school study GS-4: Completion of two (2) full academic years of post-high school study or an associate's degree. GS-5: Completion of four (4) academic years of post-high school leading to a bachelor's degree or equivalent degree. Conversion Eligibility - Interns may be non-competitively converted to a term, career-conditional or career appointment within 120 days following successful completion of all of their educational and work experience requirements in accordance with 5 CFR 362.204. You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.
