Graduate/trainee Recruitment Consultant

Start date: Summer 2025

Location: Leeds

Salary: £25,000+ commission OTE up to £50,000 in first year


Skills Alliance is now hiring aspiring Recruitment Consultants for our Graduate intake for our Leeds office, starting in summer 2025. We're looking for motivated, resilient and enthusiastic individuals looking to kickstart their recruitment careers in the Life Science market.

We have several global offices with locations including: London, Leeds, Seattle, New York and Frankfurt). This role is for our Leeds office, which we opened up last year and has a start-up feel, but is backed by an established business that has been around since 2005 and is well recognised in the life science market. You'd work alongside market experts and global top performers, with exceptional training and a wealth of market knowledge sat right next to you.

  • Uncapped commission: structure up to 30% and no cap at all on how much you actually make. You also earn commission from day one.
  • International office relocation: we actively encourage and help with relocation for our employees who want to work in any of our other offices (New York, Leeds, Seattle and Frankfurt).


Duties of a Graduate Recruitment Consultant:

  • Business Development and building business relationships
  • Headhunting and identifying suitable candidates
  • Negotiating and objection handling
  • Qualifying candidates and building candidate networks
  • Arranging and preparing candidates for interviews
  • Lead & referral generating
  • Becoming the expert in your market


What skills do you need?

  • Experience within a sales, retail sales, sports, customer facing or hospitality environment is desirable
  • Ability to listen, learn and apply new ideas quickly
  • Previous sales experience would be highly advantageous
  • Ability to achieve set targets and working to deadlines
  • Entrepreneurial, ambitious and enjoy a fast-paced, but challenging atmosphere
