EUC Support & Software Administrator ( L1 & L2)
Location: Stevenage ( 4 days/week)
We are recruiting an engineer to administer, monitor and support a set of End User Computing applications and DevOps tools like Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence & Bitbucket), Software installations, User Access Management and other basic user support activities. Right candidate will get an opportunity for on-the-job training and learn new technologies.
Role Requirements / Desired Skills:
1. Must have good problem-solving skills.
2. Excellent communication skills.
3. Resourcefulness and ability to work under pressure.
4. To work flexibly – recognizing that many duties require to be undertaken out with normal working hours to minimise disruption to end-users.
5. To establish and maintain good working relationships with, colleagues, end-users and other professionals (e.g., suppliers and software developers).
6. The ability to work with minimal supervision
7. You will have an analytical mind and the ability to adapt
8. To work assiduously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, where appropriate).
9. To use remote support tools to manage remote systems and desktops.
10. To set up new users’ accounts, profiles, user grups and deal with password issues.
11. Diagnosing, troubleshooting and resolving software, hardware, and network issues as and when required.
12. Responsible for documenting systems and infrastructure configuration, install and configuration guides through wiki.
13. To respond to service incidents within the times specified in any Service Level Agreement (SLA).
14. To provide basic software training and advice to end-users
15. To maintain the IT Service Desk system, logging all incidents and requests, their acknowledgements and their resolutions and ensuring that all support tickets are handled effectively and expeditiously.
16. Some knowledge and/or experience of Monitor environments and ensure their maintenance (Issues with memory, disc space, certificates, licenses etc.)
17. Knowledge of one or more of the following tools is a plus(/not mandatory):
1. Linux
2. Apache Tomcat
3. PostgreSQL
4. Artifactory
5. Jenkins
6. Git
7. ClearCase & ClearQuest
Requirements :
To flourish in this role:
1. A graduate degree or Technical apprentice.
2. 1 or 2 years of experience.
3. Right to work in the UK.
4. British nationality is mandatory or able to attain SC Clearance
