About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is with the 106th Signal Brigade at Fort Cavazos Network Enterprise Center. GG-03 Salary $35,499-$43,590 GG-04 Salary $36,209-$45,982

Employment dates will vary depending on when summer break begins for each college, however, the earliest start date is the end of May. Actual length of employment is contingent upon budget and workload. Employment is intended to continue each subsequent year during the summer months while the student is enrolled in a degree program. MAY be non-competitively converted to a career/career-conditional appointment within 120 days of successful completion of academic program. Pay will vary by grade level and geographic location. GG-04 Minimum Qualifications: Education: To qualify at the GG-04 level, students must have completed (or will complete by December 2024) 2 academic years of post-high school study or associate's degree (two years of full-time academic study is defined as 60 semester hours, 90 quarter hours, or the equivalent in a college or university).
