Academics are working with a 'good' school in Southend-on-Sea who are seeking a dedicated KS2 SEN Teaching Assistant. This is a long-term role due to commence in January 2025. There is the possibility that this role will turn permanent for the right candidate who displays dedication and exceptional skills to help student's progress and achieve their best. The school also offers teacher training from September 2025, which would be carried on site and would allow you to earn a wage, while working towards your QTS.
Whether you are an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a new school, or you are a graduate looking to gain experience, we want to hear from you!
Key responsibilities within the role:
Attend to pupils' personal needs, and implement related personal programmes (must be comfortable taking both girls and boys to the toilet)
Providing support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities
Building and maintaining successful relationships with students, whilst treating them with respect and consideration
Have the highest expectation that every student will make sustained academic and personal progress
Ensure that every pupil is ready for the next steps in their learning and is supported to participate and contribute toWhy work for us?
