Solicitor - Commercial & Outsourcing Legal Team

Salary - up to £80,000

Are you a qualified solicitor with commercial contract experience ? Then look no further this role is for you!

We are currently recruiting for a Solicitor to join our Commercial & Outsourcing legal team. The role can be based in our Norwich, or York offices.

A bit about the job:

Within this role you will be acting as a legal adviser, providing first class legal services to the Aviva Group as well as monitoring and mitigating legal risks in accordance with the Group policies. You will be responsible for the provision of legal advice to various business units, whilst ensuring that legal matters are handled efficiently and effectively and in compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, proactive, has a can-do attitude, and is keen to develop their legal and contractual experience by advising upon and negotiating upon a range of commercial contracts; as part of a supportive team of experienced legal professionals . Training and support is available to help develop your career.

Skills and experience we're looking for:
  • Qualified solicitor
  • Ability to advise upon commercial contracts and conduct third-party negotiations (including procurement and supply chain contracts)
  • Experience with trouble shooting and problem solving in a creative and innovative manner
  • Technical knowledge of areas of law relevant to commercial contracts (preferably with some knowledge of data privacy and IP licensing)
  • Excellent oral and written communication and problem-solving skills
