YOUR ROLE

Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Operations Manager for our esteemed Bicester site will play a central role in driving daily operations and shaping the future of our contract. In this dynamic and influential position, you'll be instrumental in cultivating a positive workplace culture, guiding the team with impactful leadership, coaching, and open communication. Your focus on operational excellence and continuous improvement will raise the bar for efficiency and customer service standards. Beyond overseeing daily activities, you will take charge of budget management and operational performance, ensuring that all services meet or exceed our high standards for efficiency and quality. This role is ideal for someone eager to make a meaningful impact on a thriving, customer-focused operation

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the workforce to align with the workload priorities to achieve KPI targets and offer best utilisation of resource for the Customer.
  • Planning, reviewing and communicating operational requirements and changes across departments, so that KPI's and customer service levels are met.
  • Preparation of operational plans within budgets for Loan Pool, Warehousing and Technical Services
  • Make operational decisions involving the deployment of employees and resources in consultation with Operational Managers with an impact on warehouse costs, employee relations and customer service.
  • Ensuring compliance of the operation to the Quality systems, industry standards and legal requirements
  • Budget responsibility for the Bicester site
  • Responsible for ensuring all outbound vehicles are loaded with the correct stock in line with operational timescales so that customer orders are achieved

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

  • Extensive management experience of operating within a commercial warehouse operation.
  • Experienced in operating within multi-site logistics operations.
  • Experience in managing employee relations and customer/trading relations.
  • Exposure to operating within a commercial environment sufficient to develop effective customer service and commercial understanding.
  • A good level of IT literacy.
  • People management and line management experience.
  • Working knowledge of Health and Safety and Legal compliance
