About the role: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated KS1 Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a warm and welcoming primary school in Redbridge from January 2025. This is a part-time, ongoing role that will focus on supporting students within Key Stage 1 through boosters and interventions. As part of a strong team, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the educational journey of young learners.
In this role, you will assist children with both academic and emotional needs, offering targeted support for those who may require extra help catching up with the curriculum. You will work alongside teachers to implement strategies, provide tailored interventions, and create a nurturing, positive learning environment.

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably within Key Stage 1.

• An understanding of the primary curriculum, particularly in Key Stage 1.
• A commitment to promoting inclusion and supporting children with diverse needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide one-on-one and small group support to KS1 students, focusing on booster and intervention sessions.
• Assist students in catching up with the curriculum, particularly in literacy and numeracy.
• Work closely with the class teacher to monitor student progress and adjust learning strategies accordingly.
• Support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to ensure their inclusion in all classroom activities.
• Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to create a collaborative learning environment.
