Farming Connect is a programme focused on supporting those based in the horticulture industry to succeed within a challenging market. Various projects deliver business support, skills and training, e-learning solutions and mentoring, as well as giving the industry a voice in Wales and creating grower networks for mutual support.

We are now looking for a Horticulture and Office Co-ordinator to join us on a full-time, basis, working 37.5 hours per week for a fixed term contract until January 2026.

The Role

As a Horticulture and Office Co-ordinator, you will take on an office-based role with an interesting and busy horticulture project in Wales, working as part of a small team who have been running horticulture projects in Wales since 2016.

Specifically, you will co-ordinate the delivery of Farming Connect Horticulture projects, alongside managing office operations and supporting events.

You will undertake various administration duties, support the planning and coordination of programme activities and help to prepare claims, performance summaries, and future projections.

Additionally, you will:

- Co-ordinate diary appointments and meetings
- Book events and activities such as Lantra Cymru awards
- Manage incoming communications
- Input and maintain accurate project data
- Maintain action logs
- Assist with social media
- Share project updates

About You

To be considered as a Horticulture and Office Co-ordinator, you will need:

- Experience supporting and delivering within a small team
- Experience in a customer service environment
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and social media
- The ability to manage paperwork, processes, and financial records
- To be organised and efficient
- To be adaptable to change and fast-paced projects
- A team player mentality
- A supportive approach
