ESOL Teacher
Location: Derby
Hours: 12 hours per week (Tuesday 4.5 hrs, Wednesday 4.5 hrs, Thursday 3 hrs)
Type: Temporary with potential to transition into a permanent position
Pay: £20 - £27 + 12% holiday pay
Role Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced ESOL and Functional Skills Tutor to join our team. This part-time role involves teaching ESOL at Entry 3 and Level 1, as well as Maths at Pre-Entry and Entry 1 levels. If you are committed to supporting learners and enjoy creating engaging and inclusive lessons, this opportunity is perfect for you.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality teaching in ESOL and Entry-level Functional Skills Maths.
Plan and adapt lessons to meet the needs of diverse learners.
Conduct assessments and track learner progress.
Prepare students for exams and support them in achieving their goals.
Participate in curriculum development and quality assurance activities.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent).
Experience teaching ESOL and Functional Skills Maths at the specified levels.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
The ability to create engaging, learner-centered lesson plans.
A commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
