Job Description
Trainee Quality Inspector
Up to £28k DOE
39hr week, Rotherham S63, days only
Overtime paid at x1.5 for all hours over 39hrs per week
Duties
The Trainee Quality Inspector position is a support role, where you will work with an experienced QC Engineer. You will use a range of tools to conduct rigorous inspections, tests, and measurements to identify any defects, non-conformities, or deviations from quality standards.
This process proactively limits and prevents future defects as well as ensuring the finished product is in line with the spec and ready for despatch.
And completing FAIR or First Article Inspection Reports.
Equipment used includes CMM, verniers and callipers, M thread and ball gauges.
Trainee Quality Inspector; Requirements
We are looking for a candidate who is apprentice trained, has experience on the tools or recently graduated with a mechanical engineering degree or similar.
Understanding of the above measuring equipment and familiar with FAIR documentation.
Applicants can be experienced in years or recent college leavers, but attention to detail is essential as is the desire to develop and grow within engineering and the business.

Trainee Quality Inspector – Benefits
Salary of up to £28,000 depending on skills, abilities and experience – 39hr week
Overtime is paid at x1.5 for all hours over 39hrs per week
Days shifts are 8am – 4.30pm finishing at 4pm on Fridays (8 hrs Mon-Thurs and 7 hrs Friday)
