About You
This role is ideal for a Paediatric Occupational Therapist who:
* Has at least two years of post-graduate experience working with children with physical, neurodevelopmental, and genetic needs (open to newer graduates with some independent caseload experience).
* Demonstrates skills in motor development, self-care, and sensory integration.
* Has experience across various settings, including homes, clinics, nurseries, and schools, or the confidence to work in these environments with minimal guidance.
* Is an excellent communicator with a collaborative spirit, able to work independently and as part of a team.
* Holds HCPC registration and membership with the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (or eligibility to register before the start date).
* Possesses a UK driving license and access to a vehicle (essential).
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
* Independently manage a caseload of children, primarily aged birth to four years, with complex needs.
* Conduct assessments and deliver therapy plans focusing on motor skills, self-care, and sensory development.
* Work in a range of environments, including home visits, clinics, nurseries, and schools, tailoring therapy to meet individual needs.
* Build strong relationships with families to facilitate positive therapy outcomes.
* Utilize problem-solving skills and engage in regular supervision to grow professionally while managing your caseload from day one.
Locations Covered
You’ll be based in Littleport, Lakenheath, or Brandon, with travel to locations such as Ely, Newmarket, Bury St Edmunds, Norwich, and Cambridge. Additional travel to areas like Peterborough, Alconbury, Kings Lynn, and Huntingdon may be required by agreement.
