Job Description

We support people to understand their diagnosis and how this may impact on their life and the lives of those around them. Our residential services provide accommodation and support for autistic adults 52 weeks a year, 24 hours a day in urban and rural settings. We also provide supported living services for autistic adults who need extra help to live in their own homes or within our accommodation, whether as tenants or owner occupiers, living alone, or with others.

We have come a long way but there is still so much to do to increase opportunities, reduce social isolation and build a brighter future for people on the spectrum. With your help, we can make it happen.

We’re seeking an inspirational Deputy Manager to join our team and help shape the future of our Day Service. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in revitalizing person-centred activities and ensuring every individual we support achieves their fullest potential.

Who we are looking for:

As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Service Manager to:

- Supervise and inspire staff to deliver exceptional, person-centred care and support.
- Lead on absence management, ensuring continuity of service and staff well-being.
- Champion the development of person-centred services, introducing innovative activities tailored to individual interests, goals, and needs.
- Oversee administrative duties, including scheduling, auditing, reporting, and record-keeping.
- Build strong relationships with external agencies to enhance the support and opportunities available to the individuals we serve.

You will spearhead efforts to reintroduce and revive meaningful activities, creating a vibrant, engaging environment that empowers the people we support to thrive. We’re seeking someone who is:

- A strong and compassionate leader, with experience in supervising staff and managing services.
- Committed to person-centred approaches and passionate about empowering autistic people.
- Organised, detail-focussed, and confident in handling administrative responsibilities.
- Experienced in liaising with external agencies and building collaborative relationships.
- Creative, proactive, and ready to drive positive change.

This is for a full-time position 37 Hours. The salary for this position is £26,936 to £31,014 per annum
