Job Type: Full Time



Wycombe Heights is a busy Golf Centre based in Loudwater near High Wycombe. The Bar and Restaurant is open to both golfers and visitors throughout the day, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. We also have a large function room catering for up to 100 guests where we will regularly host weddings, functions and meetings.



Job Description



Wycombe Heights Golf Centre is looking for a Golf Membership & Events Executive to join its Sales team.



Wycombe Heights is a golfing playground boasting an 18-hole main course, 18-hole short course, Trackman (digital technology) Driving range and recently refurbished pro-shop, café and function/meeting space.



The ideal candidate would have experience within a similar role, possess a sound knowledge and understanding of sales processes and be able to demonstrate a proven record of delivering results and proactively generating new business.




  • An understanding of golf and/or the ability to sell functions and meeting space is key.

  • A competitive basic salary of £24-£26k + commission and benefits will be offered to the successful candidate.

  • Key benefits include complimentary golf on both the main and short course, use of trackman driving range, meals on duty and a rewarding commission scheme across multiple sales streams.

  • Evening, weekend and some evening working is required however a rota will be in place and overseen by the Sales Manager to ensure that the cover is shared amongst the team and is suitable for business requirements.



Duties include:




  • Acquiring sales as a result of dealing with both incoming prospects and prospects generated from networking and lead generation.

  • Maximising the revenue potential from fully identifying needs and upselling effectively.

  • Maintaining the Club’s online presence via social media and other associated sites.

  • The Sales Team is responsible for the selling Functions (including celebrations, meetings, party nights & lunches), Group Golf and Memberships, and delivering to, and beyond targets.

  • The executive will work with both Sales Manager and Food & Beverage Manager to ensure all details are covered for the effective delivery of sold events.



RESPONSIBLE FOR:




  1. Achieving monthly and annual functions, group golf and membership sales targets.

  2. To support with delivery of events ensuring that High Standards of Customer service are delivered encouraging repeat bookings and Centre reputation

  3. Enhancing the club’s social media and online presence.

  4. Networking and connecting with local people and businesses to build relationships and secure meeting/function revenue.

  5. Administration tasks relating to sales and tasks in accordance with sales audits.



DAILY TASKS INCLUDE:




  1. Handling telephone enquiries following the company standard by fulfilling the criteria set out on the Telephone Enquiry Assessment Forms.

  2. Touring prospective members around the course/club following the company standard by fulfilling the criteria set out on the Tour Assessment Forms.

  3. Responding to Web Enquiries in a timely manner by telephone where possible.

  4. Processing prospect information accurately onto the prospect system and following up all enquiries by setting actions on the prospect system accordingly.

  5. Processing new memberships, events, and group golf bookings onto the system accurately and correctly.

  6. Planning and delivering effective lead generation/networking to produce desired results.
