The role and what youll be getting up to on a day-to-day basis:

Littlefish is seeking a Learning and Development Lead to come and join our growing HR team on a fixed term basis. This role is a 12-month maternity leave cover.

Reporting directly into the Chief People Officer, you will pick up from our current Learning & Development Lead that has been responsible for end-to-end ownership and development of the Littlefish onboarding programme, develop learning opportunities for our teams and coordinate the delivery of all training activities internally and externally including e-learning platform.

This is a real opportunity to continue the promotion of our culture of continuous learning with great material and add your personal touch & expertise. With our learning culture we take great pride in delivering various initiatives throughout the year such as learning at work week, national apprenticeship week and our monthly focussed learning events.

Your main duties will include:

  • Promote, inspire and drive usage of our internal Littlefish Academy
  • Lead the Littlefish onboarding programme which includes delivery of company induction
  • Using our EVP, design and implement processes for talent development in the employee lifecycle
  • Work closely with the wider HR team to ensure all the HR lifecycle is aligned
  • Deliver leadership lunch and learns
  • Lead on coaching and mentoring
  • Build our apprenticeship community
  • Promote and live by the Littlefish values
  • Maintain company training and certification records
  • Keep updated on L&D best practice and share this actively through the workstreams you lead on
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning
  • Provide data and reporting to support the success of talent development

What are we looking for in the successful candidate?

  • Specific learning and development qualification or qualified by experience
  • Prior demonstrable experience of operating in a learning and development role specifically raising talent levels across a business and leading an onboarding programme
  • Strong understanding of apprenticeships
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Energy and a can-do attitude
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Use technology to be forward thinking about how to develop talent
  • Able to manage the demands of several tasks and understand of when to seek direction and escalate
  • Ability to translate the needs of the business into a coherent plan that delivers ROI
  • Demonstrable ability to work with people across all areas of the business and at all levels
