Apprentice Teaching Assistant
Location: Plymouth (across a large Multi-Academy Trust)
Start Dates: January 2025, April 2025 or September 2025
Hours: 37 hours per week across 5 days
Contract Type: Fixed-Term
Teaching Personnel, in partnership with a large Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) in Plymouth, is excited to offer a range of Apprentice Teaching Assistant opportunities for enthusiastic individuals passionate about working with children. With a variety of roles available, this is your chance to specialise in an area that aligns with your skills and interests.
We are recruiting for:
General Classroom Teaching Assistants
Sports Teaching Assistants
Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Teaching Assistants
These apprenticeships are an excellent way to gain practical experience while working towards a nationally recognised Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification, delivered in partnership with LMP Education.
About the Role
As an Apprentice Teaching Assistant, you will:
Provide general classroom support, work one-to-one, or lead small groups.
Assist in intervention programs to help children achieve their learning goals.
Create a positive, inclusive environment to support learning and development.
Support physical education and sports activities (Sports TA roles).
Provide tailored support to students with additional needs (SEND roles).

Works well as part of a team and is committed to making a difference.
Is eager to gain hands-on classroom experience in a role where every day is different.
Is ready to explore opportunities in General, Sports, or SEND pathways.
