HOW WILL YOU MAKE CHANGE HAPPEN?

We're looking for a strong Solution Architect with a background in Master Data Management to support the PMDM Project team. The role will focus on working alongside our client to provide solution support for the PMDM programme functionality. Solution Architect must have data / master data experience, used to working in ambiguous / complex programmes and have polished people and stakeholder engagement skills.

The Solution Architect will be responsible for using their expertise in technology, architecture/design and stakeholder management to ensure solutions and deliverables are high-quality, functional, effective and of lasting value for our clients. You will also be expected to help drive business by responding to requests for help and support from across the firm related to architecture and modern technology operations.

The role will work within a variety of programmes and projects identifying solutions to business needs, redefining conceptual designs into clear, tangible work. Solution Architects will work together with our Enterprise Architects, product and engineering teams to make the most of the client's technology. Our client will be launching several strategic initiatives this year including supply chain transformation, data & analytics, ERP implementation and Digital.
Hybrid/Remote, 6-12 months role. Up to £550 per day (Inside IR35).

Key role deliverables are:
  • Perform impact assessments on new (pre-project) demand, helping to identify the affected IT components and the associated cost of change
  • Make recommendations on product selection, identifying solution providers and assessing options against requirements, architectural standards and principles
  • Develop end to end high level solution design and documentation using domain knowledge and experience, coordinating mentorship from technical specialists and third parties, and ensuring that all requirements are met in an efficient manner
  • Conduct design reviews for your solution, coordinating domain specialists, 3rd party solution partners & internal development teams to ensure that the solution meets the business requirements, are implementable and supportable
  • Identify project pre-requisites, dependencies, detailing the implications and communicating appropriately to all affected parties
  • Ensure the central design repository is kept up to date
  • Work closely with product owners and delivery management to plan the architecture runway, ensuring a continuous delivery pipeline.

  • Show a bias to action through high quality work delivered on time and on budget to our clients.
  • Creatively collaborate with client account teams to grow existing relationships and build new ones at some of the most exciting brands in the world.
  • Evaluate the scale of complex client technology problems and structure a plan to address them that centers on adaptability, time to market, cost of ownership and sustainable outcomes.
  • Contribute to global thought leadership focused on application portfolio strategy, application rationalization, architecture modernization, and software selection.
  • Foster a high-quality human experience for our team through effective coaching while modeling superior management and leadership skills.

IDEALLY, WE'D LIKE:
  • Experience driving and delivering technology change in medium to large enterprises.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills to foster discussions and communicate complex topics to large technical audiences and C-Level executives.
  • Experience consulting internal or external customers on technology solutions and processes to solve business challenges.
  • Experience with designing solutions against architecture frameworks such as TOGAF and experience applying architecture reference models to portfolio architecture activities (i.e., rationalization, modernization, software selection).
  • The principles and execution of architecture in a complex client environment involving hybrid deployment of systems both on-premises and in the cloud.
  • The design, development and deployment of systems in either AWS, GCP or Azure cloud platforms.
  • Familiarity with end-to-end software including backend data layer, application layer, web layer, interface layer, reporting layer, etc.
Familiarity and demonstrable experience with the following:
  • Concepts such as application integration, services/event architectures, data integration, business intelligence, network infrastructure, middleware, security, and database infrastructure.
  • An agile skill set that allows you to function in agile teams and coach clients and teammates new to agile delivery models.
  • A well-articulated sense of purpose and vision for your life and career.
  • A commitment to a lifetime of learning and growth.
  • And, of course, we'd expect an undergraduate degree from an accredited college/university.
It would also be great to see skills and experience in:
  • Experience working with clients in Financial Services, Retail, and/or Energy/Utilities industries.
  • Ability to travel freely when needed, throughout the UK.
  • Ability to attend as required client functions, social events and internal North Highland initiatives.
