Level 2 Teaching Assistant - SEND School, South Liverpool

Position: Teaching Assistant (Level 2 or above)
Location: South Liverpool
Contract Type: Full-Time (Temporary with the possibility of becoming permanent)
About the Role:
Tradewind Recruitment is proud to be working with a dedicated and nurturing SEND school in South Liverpool. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join their team, supporting students with visual impairments and other complex needs.
As a Teaching Assistant in this role, you will:
Provide one-to-one and small group support tailored to student's individual learning and personal development needs.
Assist with classroom activities, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Work closely with teachers and therapists to implement tailored education plans.
Support students in developing essential life skills and independence.
Use Team Teach strategies (or be willing to undertake the training) to promote positive behaviour and ensure the safety of all students and staff.
Requirements:
Minimum Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent).
Experience working with children with visual impairments and/or complex needs is highly desirable.
Team Teach trained or willingness to complete the training (provided by the school or Tradewind Recruitment).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A caring, patient, and proactive attitude.
Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
