Job Description
Brook Street are working with a well known company in Carmarthen who are looking for a Finance Assistant to join their small but busy finance team. The role will be Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm, fully on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare accounts and tax computations for a diverse range of clients, including companies, partnerships, and sole traders.
Report directly to the director or client manager, ensuring clear communication and effective workflow.
Prepare and submit VAT returns accurately and on time.
Provide ad hoc bookkeeping assistance using various accounting software packages, including Sage 50 and Xero.
Attend client meetings to address queries directly and provide exceptional customer service.
Support the development of junior staff by offering guidance and mentorship.
Manage and develop client relationships to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Consult with clients to understand their financial needs and investment goals, tailoring solutions accordingly.
Collaborate with internal teams to provide timely and accurate information regarding clients' portfolios.
Conduct regular client meetings to review portfolio performance and address any concerns.
Qualifications:
Recent graduate in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
Familiarity with accounting software packages, particularly Sage 50 and Xero.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Eagerness to learn and develop professionally.
Benefits:
